Chef Spike Mendelsohn, a local celebrity chef, is coming to Mason to put on a cooking show! Chef Spike realized his love for cooking at the young age of 13 in St. Petersburg, Florida. After studying at the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Spike went on to Reims, France to study Chef Gerard Boyer. He also was one of few chosen students to go to Vietnam with Chef Pardus and Chef Huynh. Here, he learned to add a Vietnamese spin to most of his dishes. Now he owns We the Pizza on Capitol Hill and the Good Stuff Eatery on Capitol Hill and Arlington. Come to North Plaza at 3PM on September 5th to watch and learn how to use fresh ingredients! After the show, we will be giving away some signed cook books!
